Privacy Policy

Your account. Your email address and a password. Our sign-in provider stores the password only in scrambled (hashed) form, so no one can read it. If you sign in with Apple, Google or Discord, that service gives us your name and email address (Apple lets you hide your email) and may give us a profile picture. We also keep your username and the settings you choose, such as your time zone, sportsbook, odds format and unit size.

What you add. Bets you track, Prop Finder screens you save, games you pick for Game Day, and your questions to the Analyst (see section 3).

Purchases.

• In the iPhone app, Apple handles payment. Apple tells us what we need to give you Pro: a transaction ID, the product, when the subscription renews or ends, and whether it was refunded, plus a random ID the app attaches to the purchase so we can match it to your account. We never receive your Apple ID or payment details.
• On the website, Stripe handles payment. We keep your Stripe customer and subscription IDs and your subscription status. For a free trial, Stripe also gives us a fingerprint of the card (a code Stripe derives from the card number, not the number itself), which we use to allow one free trial per card.
• If you joined through Whop, we keep your Whop account ID and membership status.

Discord. If you connect Discord, we keep your Discord user ID and username so we can give you the member role in our Discord server.

How you use BettorIQ. While you're signed in, we record the pages you open. We also record a few events, such as opening the free game of the day, playing a tutorial video, sharing a bet slip image, signing up or starting a subscription. On the website we note how you arrived: the site that linked you, the campaign tags in the link, and whether you're on a phone or a computer, along with a random session ID kept in your browser. We use this to see what's working in BettorIQ. It isn't shared with advertisers.

Technical information. Like any online service, our servers receive your IP address and basic browser or device information with each request. Our hosting providers keep it in server logs for a limited time, for security and troubleshooting. To check for app updates, the iPhone app sends Capawesome, our update service, the device ID Apple gives each app maker (not the advertising ID), the app version and the iOS version.

Squares pools (website only). If you run a pool, we keep its name, logo, prices and any fundraiser details you enter. If you claim a square, we keep the name you enter, which everyone with the pool's link can see, and your email address if you give one, which only the pool's organizer can see.

Messages to us. If you email support, we keep your email address and what you tell us.

We don't collect your precise location, contacts, photos (other than a logo you upload for a pool) or health information, and we don't use advertising cookies. The app and website use your device's local storage to keep you signed in and remember your settings.

• To run BettorIQ: your account, Pro access, tracked bets, saved screens and the Analyst.
• To process payments, confirm purchases with Apple and Stripe, and prevent abuse, such as more than one free trial per person.
• To email you about your account: a welcome email, reminders when a trial starts and before it ends, password resets and service notices. If you give your email when you claim a square, emails about that pool.
• To send marketing emails, only if you agreed to them (for example, when you created an account to run a Squares pool). Every marketing email has an unsubscribe link.
• To understand how BettorIQ is used and make it better.
• To keep BettorIQ secure and to meet our legal obligations.

We don't sell your personal information. We don't show ads, we don't use advertising or third-party analytics tools, and we don't track you across other companies' apps or websites.

The Analyst answers your questions using Claude, an AI model made by Anthropic, PBC.

• Your permission first. The first time you ask a question, the app explains what is sent and asks for your OK. Nothing is sent until you tap Allow.
• What's sent. Your question and the chat's most recent messages (up to 12), so the Analyst can follow the conversation, plus the sports data our servers look up to answer it, such as odds, stats and our projections. Your name, email address and account details aren't sent.
• What Anthropic does with it. Anthropic processes it to write the answer, under commercial terms that don't allow it to use your messages to train its models. Anthropic may keep them for a limited time, for example to detect misuse. See Anthropic's privacy policy.
• What we keep. We keep each question and its answer on our servers for up to 3 days, so the answer reaches you even if you leave the app, and then delete them. The conversation on your screen stays on your device until you start a new chat or close BettorIQ.
• Turning it off. You can turn this off anytime in Settings, under Privacy. After that nothing more is sent, and the Analyst asks again before your next question.

Please don't put personal information, such as your full name, address or account numbers, in a question.

Game analysis. Some of the written analysis on game pages is produced with AI models from OpenAI and Anthropic. It's generated on our servers from sports data only; none of your information is sent for it.

We share it only with the companies that help us run BettorIQ, each for its own part of the job:

• Supabase hosts our database, sign-in and servers, and holds the information described above.
• Replit hosts the website.
• Apple sells App Store subscriptions and provides Sign in with Apple.
• Stripe processes website payments.
• Google and Discord handle sign-in if you choose them. Discord also gives members their role.
• Whop handles memberships bought through Whop.
• Anthropic runs the Analyst, only after you allow it, and writes some game analysis from sports data.
• OpenAI writes some game analysis from sports data. It receives no information about you.
• Twilio SendGrid sends our emails. It receives your email address and the email's content.
• Capawesome delivers updates to the iPhone app.
• Google Fonts and the ESPN, MLB and NBA image servers provide fonts, player photos and team logos. Loading them gives those servers your IP address, like any web request.

Each of these providers may use your information only to provide its service to us, and must protect it at least as well as this policy describes. Apple, Google, Discord, Stripe and Whop also follow their own privacy policies for the accounts you hold with them.

Sportsbooks. When you send a bet slip to a sportsbook, you leave BettorIQ. The link carries the bets you picked, not your personal information, and the sportsbook's own privacy policy applies from there. We don't receive your sportsbook account information.

Other people. Names on a Squares grid are visible to everyone with the pool's link, and a pool's organizer sees the email address of anyone who gives one when claiming a square.

Legal and business reasons. We may disclose information if the law requires it; to protect the rights, property or safety of our users, the public or BettorIQ; or as part of a merger or sale of the business, in which case this policy continues to apply to it.

• Your account, tracked bets and settings: for as long as you have an account.
• Analyst questions and answers: up to 3 days.
• Server logs: a limited time, set by our hosting providers.
• Usage records: for as long as they help us understand how BettorIQ is used.

When you delete your account, we delete it along with the information tied to it: your profile, tracked bets, saved screens, Game Day picks, Analyst chats, page history, email preferences, your Discord and Whop connections, and any Squares pools you run, with their squares. If you signed in with Apple, we ask Apple to disconnect BettorIQ from your Apple ID.

We keep a few records without your account ID, because we still need them after an account is gone:

• records of subscription changes and messages from the App Store, for accounting, refunds and disputes;
• the card fingerprint from a free trial, so the same card can't start another one;
• usage events, which no longer identify you.

A name you entered on a square in someone else's pool stays in that pool, which belongs to its organizer. Apple and Stripe keep their own records of your payments under their own policies.

• See and change your settings in Settings.
• Delete your account anytime in Settings, under Account, in the app or on the website. Deleting your account cancels a website subscription. It doesn't cancel an App Store subscription: cancel that in the Settings app on your iPhone, under your name, then Subscriptions.
• Turn off the Analyst in Settings, under Privacy.
• Unsubscribe from marketing emails with the link in any of them. Account emails, like trial reminders, are part of the service.
• Disconnect Sign in with Apple in the Settings app on your iPhone: your name, then Sign-In & Security, then Sign in with Apple.

Wherever you live, you can ask us for a copy of your information, or ask us to correct or delete it, by emailing support@bettoriq.app. We'll confirm the request comes from you and answer within 45 days. Some US states, including California, give residents these rights by law. We won't treat you differently for using them.

We protect your information with encryption in transit (HTTPS), access rules that let each account read only its own records, and hashed passwords. Payment card details never reach us. No system is perfectly secure, so we can't guarantee absolute security. If a breach affects your information, we'll tell you as the law requires.

BettorIQ is for people 21 and older. We don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 21, and if we learn that we have, we delete it. If you believe someone under 21 has given us information, email support@bettoriq.app.

BettorIQ is run from the United States. Our providers process your information in the United States and, for some of them, in other countries where they operate.

When we change this policy, we'll post the new version here with a new date. If a change is significant, we'll tell you in the app or by email before it takes effect. If we change what the Analyst sends or who receives it, the app will ask for your permission again.
